Music

Music is a part of many aspects of life at St Peter's. Classroom study in Year 7 to 13, House competitions, performance events, assemblies and liturgical events all present opportunities for students to involve themselves in challenging and life-enriching musical learning.

The Chapel Choir has grown from 20 members in 2006 to over 90 members in 2010. All students are welcome to commit themselves to Chapel Choir during Term 1 and 2 as we work towards the Big Sing event. During Term 3 and 4 the Chapel Choir is made up of between 30 and 40 singing lesson students and performance music students.

Other opportunities include the Performing Arts Night, Jazz Band, String Group, contemporary pop and rock bands and support for soloists and singer-songwriters. 

 The department has excellent equipment for performance and recording including iMac computers running Sibelius 6, ProTools 8 and Reason 4.
