Junior Leadership

The Year 10 Junior Leadership programme assists students as they play a significant role in organising activities for Year 7 - 10 students. The Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl, also from Year 10, help to lead this group and assist the Deputy Principal, and other members of staff in their events in and out of school.

Junior Leaders, from each area of service from the main School Council, take responsibility for the organisation of activities and events.

Committment to the Junior Leader programme is about more than just turning up at events and telling people what to do. Junior Leaders are required to set themselves apart as examples/role models for other students.

The programme, like all areas of the Leadership Academy, is based on a servant-leadership model. Students are encouraged, in all aspects of their schooling, to serve members of staff and other students. Positive role-modeling, in terms of attitude and behaviour, is an essential part of being in the Junior Leadership programme.
