Job Description

Ø Represent the school to the public including when you’re not at school or on official engagements.

Ø Lead/Chair Senior Student Council.

Ø Coordinate Committees and ensure minutes are being taken, distributed and filed/saved in google docs.


Ø Support Committee initiatives such as Relay for Life, Survive-a-slum and Charity Evening.

Ø Be visible in the school – all students should know you.

Ø Take an active role in Assemblies.

Ø Encourage all Year 13 students and Senior School Council to follow your lead as excellent role models.

Ø Seek the opinions of students and, where appropriate, use these to help improve systems, conditions etc.

Ø You are the liaison between students and staff.  Meet with a designated member of the Senior Leadership Team on a regular basis – weekly.

Ø Actively promote the school at every opportunity.

Ø Attend school Masses (at least twice each term) and parish Masses (at least the ones hosted by St Peter’s – one per term).

Ø Support school teams (cultural and sporting) in competitions with your attendance, assistance or participation.

Ø Set your own goals which should include making your special individual mark in the school.  You can’t do everything or be everywhere but you should be aiming for something!

  • Share with your opposite number – you may work together on shared goals.

  • Choose something in particular that you want to achieve and work towards that.


Ø Take an active role in Prize-giving through writing and delivering a speech.
